Jonamac Orchard

Our first trip to Jonamac Orchard as a family was a huge success!
 Beautiful day...I love fall!
Anya was excited to play with the other kids at the play area.
Since spring sprung so early, apple picking season already ended.  So we let Anya pick some apples from the bins for her "Kiddie Pack".

 Running to see the pumpkins!

She's totally thinking "I remember last year Mommy put me inside one of these."  LOL!

Climbing on the hay stacks with Daddy is so much fun!
Anya was very cautious of the tunnels but she tested it out and enjoyed it.

This was the highlight of the trip.  The kids can play in the corn kernels.  We found some in her pants and pockets when we got home.  haha!

I love that Anya and I got a picture in the classic big chair at Jonamac.  We're looking forward to doing this again next fall!
Here's a glimpse from last year at the orchard:
Wow!  A lot changes in a year!

Happy Fall Y'all:-) & Tea for Three

Yesterday was the first day of fall and I am thrilled!  I love everything that this time of year brings.  Apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bright colored leaves, costumes, hot apple cider....love.it.all!!
This September we have been SUPER busy!  Praise God our DJ business is flurishing...we've had a wedding every weekend since August 31st, which started with a double header.  Staying home with Anya Violet has been such a blessing, and thank God He is providing for all of our needs.  We are looking forward to October when things will slow down for us, and we are hoping to keep it that way.  We do have one BIG event planned...my sister Cindy's baby shower.  That's right, I'm going to be an Auntie!  She finds out Friday whether she's having a girl or boy.  I'm guessing boy (but I'm always wrong, so it's probably a girl....lol!)

My sister Katie and I have been creating and preparing for our Flea Market Shop "Tea for Three", and we are having a shopping party in mid- October.  I can't wait to show my girlfriends what we have been working on all summer!  Here's a look at SOME of the pretties we are selling:

We have book page crafts.
Chairs...

A door just wanting to be turned into a shelf, head board, or a table.
Or perhaps you're a photographer, and this beauty can be your backdrop.
I love this ornate mirror.  It would look so pretty in a bathroom.

We have antique windows.  They add a lot of charm to a space.
This chalky coral high chair is one of my faves.  I can just picture a precious little girl sitting in it on her birthday.  I so wish I had this when Anya turned one.
And I will not be too bummed if it doesn't sell;-)
 Antique finds....
Chalkboards, who doesn't want one of these in their homes these days?  Thanks to Pinterest!
 Each has its own character.
Chicken wire frames for recipes, momentos, and pictures.  BTW- those are lampshade frames to the left and they have gorgeous structure.  They would be so fun hanging in the corner of a room from the ceiling.
BLUE MASON JARS!  Need I say more?

Oh, here's that high chair again.  I just had to see what Anya would look like in it.  PRECIOUS!  There is a fatigued engraving of a heart where her head is.

This chalkboard is so sunny and fun!  LOVE it both vertically and horizontally:-)

Happy Fall Y'all!!

My birthday and 16 months

On Monday my family had a little birthday party for me.  My creative sister, Katie, decorated my parent's deck so adorable!!  She made it look like a secret garden, using some of our flea market finds and some new handmade pretties.

Anya tested out our coral high chair we are selling at our flea market.  Isn't it perfect for photo shoots?

Check out these pillows Katie made for me.
 Adorable, I know!

The cake was lemon with cream cheese frosting.  And yes, that is an apple pie with hand crafted roses made with apple peel.

Anya forgot how much she loves cake since she only gets it on birthdays.  She was only eating the blueberries at first.  HA!  It didn't take her long to figure out how good cake is.

She gave us our plate wanting more. LOL!

On another note, Miss Anya is 16 months old.  She is developing quite the little personality too.  She is such a sweet girl, always wanting to help me out (puts away our shoes in the closet, "washes" dishes with a dish cloth, etc).  Anya loves to play with her "Clifford" rocking pup, puzzles...oh she LOVES puzzles, shape ball, and books.  She still adores her farm, play kitchen, and newly painted table and toy box.  Anya says "Mama, Dada, bubble, book, ball, hi, Anya, neigh neigh, all done, yes," and "more".  She loves nature and our wagon rides to the ponds.  Playing "hide-n-seek" is another favorite of hers.  Currently Anya is getting her 11th tooth, and boy has it been a killer for her...low-grade fever, sleeping like a newborn, and not eating well.  And it's taking forever to come all the way in!!  She is finally starting to get some relief.  Anya's favorite book is any "Cookie Monster's Good Time to Eat".  She loves all of the Sesame Street books.
I love you Anya!
