Good-bye to dinner planning & preparation!

Last night I went to my first ever Wildtree Freezer Meal workshop.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I need something like this in my life!!  Having a toddler and being pregnant makes meal planning/ preparation difficult, and let's face it I was sick of giving my family "meals" like frozen pizza and tuna melts!

A good friend of mine, Melissa, has just started working for Wildtree five months ago.  I really wanted to help get her business growing so I did a tasting at my house for my gender reveal party.  Everything was so tasty and healthy (they are now Organic certified!) I was sold.  But what I like most are the meal workshops.  Melissa sent us a grocery list of produce and meats to buy and how to prepare them and then we complete each meal at the workshop.  Wildtree Freezer Meal Workshops have 10 meals that you prepare, but they serve 6+ people so a bunch of us divided each meal in two so I left with 20 meals (plus some of those meals will give leftovers!)  I can't even begin to tell you how great I felt going to bed last night knowing I have dinners ready to cook for the next month!  And these meals are going to be gourmet compared to how we've been eating around here!
With the workshops you are purchasing Wildtree products so now I can make these meals again in the future.

So what's for dinner tonight?  Crock pot quesadillas!  Here is the filling:
I wish you could come over and smell my house!

There's nothing better than taking a ziplock bag (filled with delicious food) emptying it and putting it in the crock pot!!! Now I can spend more time with my family this summer, and less time stressing about
 "What will I make tonight?"

I loved the workshop so much that I will be hosting one in July.  I figured it will be so great to have meals on hand the last month of pregnancy/ post-baby.  These workshops are perfect for working parents, new mothers, pregnant/ tired Mommies (like me!) really anyone can benefit!
If you are interested in hearing more about Wildtree or coming to my workshop please contact me and I'll hook you up:-)

May Days

Here's a peek into what we've been up to the past few weeks.

Lots of this:

I don't know what we'd do without our water table!!
 Kisses for Charlie
I love this girl so much!
2013 Square foot gardening...this year we are growing tomatoes, zucchini, snap peas, green beans, jalapenos, basil, cilantro (in window boxes).
I can't wait to make homemade salsa and spaghetti sauce!!!
Anya has become quite the artist lately.  She loves painting!
 Bath after this...

 Whining girl...

Watering with her Mickey watering can

Charlie's last few days as a fur ball.  He got a buzz cut for the summer.  It was shorter than I wanted but it's growing on me and actually looks really cute on him.

I had every intention of getting a family picture on Memorial Day.  We were all dressed coordinating colors....but it didn't happen.  I am so glad I captured the sweetest picture ever though.  We made a quick stop at Jewel to pick up food for Memorial Day.  Since Anya always takes her shoes off in the car Daddy just decided to carry her into the grocery store.  When we got back to the car she wouldn't let go of him!  I had to capture it on camera.  It was so adorable!  Anya loves her Daddy so much.

 Anya loves her Easter basket.

Rough-housing with Daddy is so much fun!

I can't believe June is almost here!  This has been the fastest month ever!!!

Playing at the Park

A few weeks ago I took Anya to a park near our house.  We had the whole park to ourselves!  She has become so much more independent since last spring/summer.  She loved the swings and slides.

 Playing in the sand...

Anya loved the horse and even said bye to it when we left.  Love that girl!

Taking a break to have a treat:-)
 Airplane!!

Can't wait until summer so Daddy can come with us!

Baby #2 at 28 weeks!

HELLO 3rd trimester! ...
It's so nice to see you.
And to think that means that summer is right around the corner and my BOY will be here in a few months!
This time of year is one of my favorites.  We practically live outside (minus today...it's FREEZing!) windows always open, grilling time, fresh fruit and veggies, flowers blooming, birds chirping...I could go on and on.  And my favorite part of summer...Josh is off!  This summer he's working toward his +30 (credits above master's degree) so he will be somewhat busy, but he's working hard before our little guy arrives!

How Far Along: 3rd Trimester, 28 weeks (and 2 days!!)

Size of baby: 3 days ago via ultrasound he was weighing 2lbs 7oz (50%)

Maternity Clothes: Yes, please!

Gender: It's a BOY!!!  I will officially reveal his name the day he is born!

Movement: Oh yes, this little guy is breech right now and his head/ arms are always punching my right hip.  Last night it felt like he was swishing around or doing flips!  Weird feeling...

Sleep: Can't complain one bit.  I sleep great!  I've been getting much more tired during the day and early evening like 1st trimester.

What I miss: Sleeping on my back and stomach

Cravings: I want sweets but failed my glucose test at 147, (failed too with Anya).  I record the number only because I like to keep record for next time around.  Praying I pass the 3hr...I did with Anya!

Symptoms: Tired, reflux, varicose veins, growing belly, hungry a lot:-)

Best Moment this week: My ultrasound appointment went well on Monday.  My placenta is no longer covering my cervix...Thank you God for answering my prayers with this!  I have another ultrasound at 32 weeks and the doctor is hopeful that it will continue to move up.  I've made some progress on his nursery too.  Just bought curtains and a letter for his name to hang on the wall behind the crib.

28 weeks-ish with Miss Anya

Anya's Cupcake Party!

It's about time I blog about Anya's 2nd birthday party!  The theme for her party was cupcakes.  It was a lot of fun decorating jars with cupcake liner flowers and making cupcake liner garland.  I wanted to do a girlie theme for her since we are having a boy next.

The Photo Booth for Little Chefs

Anya's giant cupcake was made by Auntie Katie.  Anya specifically requested that it have purple frosting and chocolate cake!  She didn't get as messy as last year, and also didn't burn her hand on the candle!!!

Here is the dessert table with the eclectic cupcakes made again, by Auntie Katie!!!  She totally nailed the cupcakes.  They matched the party PERFECTLY!

I also made pink Rice Krispy Treats and Peanut Butter Blossom cookies...yum!
Every year Josh gives Anya flowers on her birthday.  Last year he gave her pale pink sweetheart roses, this year colorful tulips.  Tulips remind me of Anya because ours started blooming the day she was born.

My little cupcake!
 Silly Daddy:)

I thought this little pose that she gave was so cute.  She loved hearing everyone sing her favorite song "Happy Birthday" to her.

Fun at the photo booth

My sister Katie and I trying to get Anya to participate...no luck!
