Lake Geneva

We've done SO much since summer started only a week ago today.  We had a Groupon about to expire for a stay in Lake Geneva at a Bed and Breakfast that we used last Thursday.  Anya came with us so we referred to it as our last family vacation before our baby boy is born.

The place we stayed at was called French Country Inn and it was right on the lake.  When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the staff.  They gave Anya bubbles to play with, which was perfect and gave her something to play with.

Our patio was right on the lake.

There restaurant just opened and the wait staff needed to be trained so we were invited to dinner free of charge!  We had a few hours after checking in before dinner started at 6:30 so we headed into town to get appetizers from Popeyes (not the fast food place!) if you are familiar with L.G. then you know which restaurant I'm talking about.  By the time we finished our appetizers Anya was on melt down mode and was definitely ready to leave.  We were nervous about how dinner was going to go with her at the restaurant back at the B&B, but couldn't pass up on free dinner!  By the time we were seated and started ordering our food it was 7:30 (Anya's normally in bed by 7:00...totally risky grounds we were walking on, I know!)  She was exactly how we thought she would be; throwing things we tried to distract her to play with, moving the table cloth, whining....good times!  We also got soup/ salad.  Anya ate almost all of my soup, but at least it kept her satisfied!  I got a spicy shrimp pasta, and Josh got a pork chop entrée.  I left around 8:30 with Anya to get her ready for bed, while Josh tipped our server.  I was pleasantly surprised when he came back with a slice of Key Lime Pie and an order of 3 different mini pie samples, also for free. The Key Lime Pie was so yummy!
After all of our travelling Mimi's house, Cindy's house, now Lake Geneva, I was amazed at how well Anya went down at night.  We brought along her crib mattress for her to sleep on and she fell right to sleep and slept until 7/7:30 the next morning.  She is handles change very well, and I am grateful we are able to getaway with her with no sleeping problems.
The next day we had brunch at the B&; B.  My favorite were the cinnamon bread pastries that they had, and the mango was great too.  Afterwards we did a little shopping in downtown Lake Geneva, went to our favorite food/ wine sample shop, got ice cream, and let Anya run around in the grass by the lake.

Anya fell asleep right when we got in the car, slept the whole way home, and then slept more at home.  She was one tired Bubs.
