13 Months

The other day I captured some beautiful photos of Anya, and later realized it was her 13 month "birthday". I do not plan on doing month-by-month updates like I did prior to her first birthday, but I do want to continue keeping record of her milestones and special moments as they come. At 13 months, Anya is growing and changing so quickly. It seems lately that she is all of a sudden a toddler and no longer a baby. I put her hair in piggie tails and headbands because she is letting me (unlike when she was 9-12 months). Oh the joys of having a girl!!! This month Anya has decided that walking is much "cooler" and easier than crawling. It's adorable to watch her get tipsy if she does a 180 too quickly. She still topples over a lot, but we can certainly say she is now a walker! Anya is starting to talk much more too. Yesterday after lunch I wiped her off and then started to take care of Zeke (we watched him yesterday) and she rips off her bib and says "all done Mom". It was precious. Later Zeke and Anya were outside playing at her water table and a toy accidentally fell on her foot and she responded calmly with "ow". Too funny! Anya's new favorite toy is her wagon, which we got with money from her cousins and Great Aunt and Uncle Terri and Roger! She loves riding and totally feels like a big girl. We are anxious to take her to the community splash pad for some fun this week.
